This policy explains how theathletesdietitian.com.au (operated by OMA Health Pty Ltd, trading as The Athlete's Dietitian, ABN 70 666 018 104) uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have. It should be read with our Privacy Policy and Terms.

Your choices

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. Nothing in those categories runs until you accept. You can accept all, reject all, or choose by category, and change your mind at any time:

Your choice is stored in a cookie for up to 6 months, after which we ask again.

What we use

  • Necessary (always on). A cookie that remembers your cookie choice (tad_consent, 6 months). If you open the chat, your conversation is kept in your browser tab until you close it so it carries between pages.
  • Our own visit statistics (no cookies). We count page views, clicks on links and buttons, time on page, how far you scroll, how fast pages load, technical errors, and whether a visit leads to an enquiry or booking, so we know which pages are useful. This stores nothing on your device: our server creates an anonymous code from your IP address and browser that changes every day and can't be used to identify you. We also record your approximate country and the website or campaign that referred you.
  • Analytics (only if you accept). Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to understand how the site is used, and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) for heatmaps and session recordings that show how pages are used. Clarity masks text you type into forms.
  • Marketing (only if you accept). The Google Ads tag (Google LLC) and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, for Facebook and Instagram), which measure whether our ads lead to visits and enquiries and let us show our ads to people who have visited this site.

These providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States, under their own privacy policies: Google, Microsoft and Meta. You can also opt out of personalised ads at Google Ad Settings and in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.

The chat assistant

“Ask our team a question” is an AI assistant. What you type is sent to our AI provider to generate replies and is stored by us so our team can review enquiries and follow up. If you choose to share your name and contact details and agree to be contacted, they're added to our enquiry records. Please don't share medical information you don't want stored; the assistant doesn't give medical advice.

Forms and payments

Booking and application forms are provided by Tally and payments by Stripe; they apply their own cookies on their pages. Details you submit through our website forms are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
